Jan's station on the amateur bands, licensed by BIPT (class C) since 29 October 2026 and based in Ghent. Hear the callsign keyed in Morse, see which way to point an antenna from home, and keep an eye on the HF beacons with Beacon Watch.
I'm a radio amateur in Ghent. I passed the UBA practical exam in September 2026, and on 29 October 2026 BIPT issued my class C operator certificate with the callsign ON3SPM. This site is the station's home on the web: the call in Morse, beam headings from home, and the radio tools I've put together along the way.
Great-circle bearings and distances from central Ghent to a handful of classic DX destinations. Point the antenna at the short-path heading, or swing it round 180° to try the long path. Tap a row or a dot to draw the path.
Distance from centre is great-circle distance (rings every 5,000 km). The dashed line is the short path to the selected destination.
Follows the 18 beacons of the NCDXF/IARU network as they take turns on five bands, plus about 100 European beacons. Pick a band to see who is on air, which way to point, and when each beacon comes round again.
